Dredge the Canals

Description

The canals need dredging.

Start: Side Jobs, Madame de Pompadour

Introduction

You have a job: Dredge the Canals, accepted at Madame de Pompadour in the Ross 154 system.

Head to the Catacombes de Pompador and find Ser Suna vee Nagata.

Next NPC: Suna vee Nagata, Ruins, Madame de Pompadour

  • Give Ser vee Nagata a hand

Me: Can I give you a hand, Ser vee Nagata? Mrian LaSalle sent me.

vee Nagata looks up from her work, tying down a boat next to a dirty canal. Her face breaks into a huge smile.

Ser vee Nagata: Wonderful! I've been needing some help. People keep using the canal to dispose of things, but none of the locals want to clean it up.

She gestures to an old boat floating in the water, with an auto-shovel weighing down one end of the boat.

She says: It's easy. Just start the motor and ride down the canal. When the auto-shovel tries to grab something, you stop the motor and try to keep the boat steady.

You step gingerly into the canal boat.

Next area: Ruins, Madame de Pompadour

  • Fix the Shovel
  • Pull up the transport
  • Drag the bottom

Bottom:
(Stamina check)

As the canal waters rock your boat back and forth, the auto-shovel descends quickly. You stop the motor and the shovel fishes out a rusty barrel that it deposits on the side of the canal.

  • Fix the Shovel
  • Pull up the transport

Transport:
(Stamina check)

The auto-shovel descends as you try to stop the boat in the middle of the choppy canal. After a few false starts, it pulls up a rusty bicycle.

  • Fix the Shovel

(Strength check)

The waters of the canal are choppier than normal. As the canal boat pitches, the auto-shovel creaks and starts listing to the side. You shut off the motor and run forward, grabbing the shovel and managing to settle it back in place.

Next NPC: Suna vee Nagata, Ruins, Madame de Pompadour

  • The waters of the canal seem just a touch cleaner.

You steer the boat back to the dock from which you departed. You quickly tie up the craft and walk towards Ser vee Nagata.

Ser vee Nagata: That was well done! Thanks for your hard work.

Congratulations!

You have completed the 'Dredge the Canals' job.

You have received 65.00 credits.
