Experiment 210.27 Storage Locker

Background

The price to install a storage locker in a Private ships seems to be different in different Stations, with higher prices in high-level and high-activity stations.

Objective

  • To find a preliminary relationship between storage locker prices and station level, fuel price, economy factor, and sell factor.

Method

Retrieve storage locker prices in more than one station and in more that one system by convenience. All data is to be collected with a Mantis Class Private Cruiser. Check ratios between storage locker prices and station level, fuel price, economy factor, and sell factor.

Results

Results presented in Table 1, with only relevant relationship shown.

Overall Data Collection

Conclusion

The price of the storage locker seems to be $12 \times StationFuelPrice$. This means that the locker price fluctuates as the Stations' economy, and that lower level stations will tend to have lower storage locker prices. The limitations of this conclusion are: (a) the data was not systematically retrieved, (b) only one data collector, (c) only one ship used, and (d) no data was collected in YZ Ceti.
