Cornelius was the first person to mention them as a «crazy cult or something. From Daedalus», «with their whole “One Life” business». « They wear robes and don't let their members come back as clones». They are not supposed to have clones as they prefer «dying from a stupid accident instead of just downloading into a shiny … mostly new body» (A Rude Awakening).
Although Carla hacked into the database and changed Ailya Faizan's file status to Promethean in the Super's office – there was a line that read “Affiliation: Promethean Sect.” – she's not a Promethean (A Rude Awakening).
