The time before The Catastrophe was mentioned by Mikel as Before. Our records from life before The Catastrophe are fairly scattered and unreliable as it is. The Omni Reality Engine could well provide us with some valuable insights, and I've used it in the Ruins The Red Zones at Tau Station while he was on guard (Ready Player Everyone).

Pompano mentioned that The Consortium's black ops DZ seem to turn up when anyone uncovers anything about the past. It’s been said that their interest is specifically The Catastrophe and artifacts (X Marks Our Shot).
